UPDATE: The HBO deal is now official, the U.S. iTunes Store now features TV shows from HBO.
Here's a brief catch-up with the latest news and rumours:
Steve Jobs at the WWDC
Apple confirmed (via Fortune) that Steve Jobs will be performing the opening keynote presentation of this year's World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) which will take place at San Fransisco on June 9.
HBO content on iTunes
Portfolio.com believes Apple is on the verge of announcing a deal with HBO over the distribution of its content through iTunes.
The deal is said to represent a U-turn in Apple's pricing strategy for iTunes as the price of the content will vary, depending on how new and hot it is.
Apple had already made iTunes more attractive last week by announcing that movies will now be available the same day as their release on DVD.
Latest iPhone rumours
Rumours on the 3G iPhone continue to fuel on the Internet. The latest beta of the Firmware 2.0 clearly shows the possibility to enable or disable 3G capabilities on the iPhone, which confirms the obvious, or that the forthcoming new generation of iphones will include 3G.
If that wasn't enough, AT&T has reportedly listed a Black iPhone model on its web site's ordering form. The company later said it was a mistake and fixed its site.
Recent confirmation that the iPhone is sold out in the U.S and U.K. also generated speculation on the fact that the next iPhone model could arrive as soon as in May.
